Hi,
I have an ISR 1921. Every now and then, it crashes saying "Possible software fault". The system LED flashes amber and only a hard reset (power on/off) will reload the ISR.
Attached is the crash dump. Anyone ever encountered such a problem?
Thanks,
Tiziana

Hi Tiziana,
Crashinfo shows "Interrupt exception, CPU signal 20". This means a parity issue in the router DRAM - data checksum is not correct.
Such issues are always HW and could be caused transient (soft parity - external influence, e.g. electric discharge) or persistent (hard parity - memory chip failure).
I recommend to monitor and if the same issue is seen again, replace memory.
Kind Regards,
Ivan Shirshin
