Hi,

I am wondering if anyone uses Application Runtime Engine (AXP) module to run third party security applications. My customer does not want to use IOS FW or IOS IPS. He saw this AXP module and was wondering if AXP can run ESX host and have checkpoint FW software installed on it. Then have ingress traffic passes through this Checkpoint FW on the router. Has anyone done that?

Third-party software running on the application modules? May be in the future, but not today. And always after approval by Cisco, so unlikely the will open the door to a competitor.

Ask you local cisco sales office to help you defuse the competitor sales storty, that is quite thin when looked at properly.
