Hello, I'm trying to figure out if I can enable BFD with the current license I have in my isr 4451xk9 router:

From what I understand BFD requires the appxk9 license.  Does the below mean that I have it(paid for), but just need to activate in iOS?

Router1#sh license feature
Feature name Enforcement Evaluation Subscription Enabled RightToUse
appxk9 yes yes no no yes
uck9 yes yes no no yes
securityk9 yes yes no no yes
ipbasek9 no no no yes no
FoundationSuiteK9 yes yes no no yes
AdvUCSuiteK9 yes yes no no yes
cme-srst yes yes no no yes
hseck9 yes no no no no
throughput yes yes no no yes
internal_service yes no no no no

Sorry about the formatting, let me know if you would like me to get a screen cap instead.

You dont have the appxk9 license. You can enable it as RTU

As you have listed, BFD requires the appxk9 license.

It looks like the appxk9 is not installed in your ISR.

Can confirm if you post the output of 'show license' and 'show ver',

Thank you sir.  i was looking for a link like that.  So during the thread, I feel they didn't fully answer if the RTU will "expire" or not...   So If I enable it as RTU and configure BFD, will it just stop working one day?

RTU licenses are honor based licenses at do not expire.

got it.  Do you know how to turn it on in iOS so I can config BFD?

They will stop working when the EVALUATION period passes and after next reboot it will be deactivated
