ISR Boost License Interfaces

Is there a limitation on what interfaces are affected by the ISR Boost License?

The product spec refers specifically to the onboard interfaces:

The footnote says: [5] Using onboard Gigabit Ethernet Interfaces

That might be due to add-on Ethernet interfaces sometimes having other hardware related performance bottlenecks. I.e. unless the built-in interfaces are used, you might not be able to obtain the performance allowed by the boost license.
