Layer 3 Port-Channel with a Layer 2 Subinterface - ASR1001-x to 6807 VSS

I have a curious Problem.
I have a ASR1001-x that i wan't to redundantly connect to a VSS pair on 6807's. So use a Port-channel, right? So far so good.
Config from Router:

Config from VSS:

ip address 10.160.1.97 255.255.255.248 -> this is for testing only

Remotely L2 connected to vlan 980 the other ASR1001-x
ip address 10.160.1.100 255.255.255.248
From VSS ping to 10.160.1.106 and 10.160.1.98 is successful.
From the ASR ping to 10.160.1.105 and 10.160.1.99 is sucessfull. ping to 10.160.1.97 and 10.160.1.98 is unsuccessful.
From the other remotly connected via L2 on vlan 980:
ping to 10.160.1.97 is successful. ping to 10.160.1.98 is successful.
So what i have is that the ASR and the VSS can only communicate Point-to-Point but not across an L2 connection or a SVI.

Any help is appreciated.
