What do we mean by Layer-7 Switch? How Layer-7 switch is different from Layer-3 and do we have any layer 7 switch in CISCO ( i know it is there but wanted to confirm with experts before i answer

Just like Layer2 switch switches data based on Layer-2 info (MAC address) the same way layer-7 switch can switch data based on layer-7 info. For example, you can say when http request (application layer) has this content, send data this way etc.
Cisco's LocalDirector is an example.
