In our setup,we have our leased line customers connected through our gig ethernet ,as sub-interface for each customer . we are controlling DSL and Dialup customers through billing , but for leased line customers we have to do some manual work if a customer disconnect /reconnect . Is there is any way to automate this ?
interface GigabitEthernet0/3.1
description customer A
encapsulation dot1Q 161
ip address 192.168.100.177 255.255.255.252
!
interface GigabitEthernet0/3.2
description B
encapsulation dot1Q 524
ip address 192.168.100.197 255.255.255.252

Hello Haris,
>> but for leased line customers we have to do some manual work if a customer disconnect /reconnect
for what, for billing/acconting purposes or to restore IP connectivity?
if you are interested in finding out when your customers are connected or not you could think of implementing IP SLA.
if there is a problem of IP connectivty whe they restore connectivity it is a different matter.
Hope to help

Thanks for the reply ....
But do I integrate billing and IP SLA ? Do you any billing systems working together with Cisco IP SLA ? What are the things needed on the router side to acheive this ?
I was thinking other way to create some type of PPPoE authentication for such kind of customers and manage this accounts from radius/billing system .Is it possible that way ? .
interface GigabitEthernet3/0.xx
encapsulation dot1Q xx
ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.255.252
pppoe enable group global
