Leased Line link error and bandwidth check

Hi,

I'm implementing a WAN on leased line.Service provider of leased line always says thier lines are ok, but actually i faced problem with link.

Can anyone tell how can i check link error and bandwith currentely getting from service provider through ROUTER.

Hello Siddharta,

the first basic check is to use

sh interface serial x/y

command and to see if there are errors of any type.

Repeat the commands every 5 minutes to see if error counters are incrementing.

possibly compare the outputs of routers at both ends of the link.
