Link is down Due to local fault on cisco asr 1000 . any troubleshooting suggestions ?

Hi ,

I got this error in cisco ASR 1000 . link is down due to local fault. whole log messages are flooded with these messages. Link came up by itself in sometime. any troubleshooting suggestions ?

If external ask the Telco providing about the link?  If internal check out what it was connecting to.
