Hello,
I have a router "A" with four links wan. This router has neighbor with other fours routers with OSPF protocol.
I configured the Router "A" in OSPF protocol with maximun-path 2, the metric is the same to the all routers that connect in Router "A".
How will OSPF prefer the 2 best routes from the fours Routers?
The Fours Routers are advertise same networks.
Thanks

Cassio,
Good question!!
I was looking on CCO as to what's the criteria for route selection when there are multiple equal cost paths and the max-paths restricts all routes from being installed.
Weird, the router configured with the max-paths installs the routes based on who it learnt the destination network from first and installs them in the order in which they are learnt when max-path is set to more than one. I thought the RID or something else might be the criteria but apparently not.

The link that you sent is interesting and useful. Thanks.
My understanding of the logic of choosing the route that OSPF heard first is that if OSPF chooses the one that it heard first, it is getting the route that has been in the routing table the longest and is probably the most stable.
