Hello,

this document gives a good explanation:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-4120

This is how a CDP (v2) frame looks like:

If you're not familiar with CDP at all, feel free to ask for more details.

Best regards,

Rolf

It appears that the switch's port is configured for full-duplex, but it detects that the connected device is operating at half-duplex. Many times this can be caused by one device being configured for auto-negotiation and the other being statically configured for duplex (and speed). There are other causes, such as failure of negotiation our hardware issues.

Check the speed/duplex settings of the switchport and attached device to be sure they are complimentary. If possible, set them to both be auto-negotiate or fixed speed/duplex.

Best regards,
Ed
