Monitoring ADSL lines with MRTG

Hi,

My network has two ADSL 512Kbps lines and I am doing per-destination load balancing with CEF enabled.

I am getting a few link utilization graphs from MRTG server for both the dialer interfaces and ATM physical interfaces.

I would like to know if I should take the graphs plotted for Dialer interfaces or for ATM interfaces when it comes to correctly figuring out my network's internet utilization.

MRTG is polling the device at certain intervals using SNMP.The polled values are real-time data and not the average. Depending on the time you are polling, you may sometimes get a higher value and sometime you get a lower value, but not the average. Even if you average all the polled data, the result will not be the real average.
