Hello,

I have a 7204 Cisco Router with T1 inteface and the traffic is supposed to

to outputing to the Fastethernet port

I was trying to monitor the traffic

I have looked at the

sh int

sh int stat

sh int accounting

and I see a different in the in the traffic counts

Is there any utility in IOS that can

capture the actual traffic on both links

Thanks

Frank

You can use SPAN on the switch port that the FE port is connected to and use a software sniffer to capture the traffic on that interface. You can follow this guide for pretty well any Cisco IOS switch:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/hw/switches/ps5528/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00803a9a86.html

Once you designate a destination port for your span source (your 7204 fe port for ex.) you can connect a PC/laptop to that destination port and run ethereal, or whatever sniffer software you like and see a full dump of all traffic.

HTH pls rate!
