Moving from one routing protocol to another

Hello, we are currently running EIGRP network wide and will be moving to OSPF. What is the best way to go about doing this. Would I simply create the OPSF process on the network, advertising the same networks and when it came time to make the switch, simply do a "NO ROUTER EIGRP"??

Hi,

depending on how large and how complex your network is, it might be safer to increase the administrative distance of EIGRP to a value greater than 110 before finally deleting the EIGRP processes. Then you can check unhurriendly your routing tables to make sure that no more networks are still installed by EIGRP.

Remember that EIGRP External routes have an AD of 170 by default and summaries 5.

With some details about your network we probably could assist you better.
