Hi all, 

A vendor named ECI is offering us DWDM MPLS capable, im just curious how they will do it base on their documents they only show a sample network diagram entering on their PE routers then cloud, is it plug and play web interface then add network for site A and site B with simple clicks only? is it a new trend? what happen to traditional MPLS? i mean, buying your own cisco hardware then building or configuring your own MPLS backbone either for l2 or l3vpn services, then manually adding network on both side?

 They possibly presented this way for simplicity. MPLS is always referred as a cloud after all. But, if you look at AWS, Facebook, Google network they're not using conventional network anymore. Most of this guys use servers and alternative hardware with SDN.
