MPLS QoS traffic counters and sub-interface policies

Hi

I'm applying some QoS policies to some PE interfaces matching on the EXP bits.  The QoS policy seems fine and is matching trafic in the appropriate classes and counting the bits and drops.  However, under the show interface command there is a massive difference in the output traffic.  I assume this is becasue the show interface is not counting MPLS packets ????

Also, the PE's have in some cases been configured with dot1q subinterfaces but I cannot apply CBWFQ here.  I know I can apply a parent child policy with a shaper on the prent policy but where there is more than one subinterface doesn't this imply that I need to allocate a proportion og the interfce bandwidth to each sub-interface shaper and hence limit each sub-interface to a defined portion of the interface?

Thanks, Stephen.

Hi Stephen,

You could just shape each subinterface to the actual bandwidth of the physical interface and apply CBWFQ on the child policy, This way you make sure each subinterface can use the whole bandwidth if needed.
