Hello Guys
I got two PE sites in MPLS connectivity working great, i added third site and able to form bgp neighborship (by using underlying ospf) but do not learn any routes.
Topology : using vlan1712 to PTP connectivity for all three sites
setup ospf neighborship and advertising loop0 in ospf
form bgp neighborship bw all three using loop0
vrf name LHIT-internal on which routes are missing.
ospf working Great, bgp neighborships are up. site 1 and site 2 are learning routes in vrf from 3 but site 3 is not.
Here are Router names:
R1: LHIT-XC1 - PTP interface (vlan1712- 172.31.0.1) -- loop0 10.100.100.1
R2: LHIT-XC2 - PTP interface (vlan1712- 172.31.0.2) -- loop0 10.100.100.2
R3: ME3600-LHIT - PTP interface (vlan1712- 172.31.0.11) --loop0 10.100.100.19
Here are the outputs:

I am posting #sh ip bgp all from all three routers.
If you see XC-1 and XC-2 are learning loop1 (10.200.255.255) in vrf LHIT-internal from R3 but R3 is learning no routes in that vrf.
Right now #ME3600-LHIT is not advertising anything else than loop1

Try
router bgp
address family ipv4 vrf
redistribute Static subnet
since all Static route is classless
02-08-2021 12:02 AM
There is a lot in these configs to try to understand. While I think about these let me ask a first question: does the issue perhaps relate to the fact that the third router defines the loopback interface as 255.255.255.0 while the other routers define their loopback as 255.255.255.255?
02-08-2021 12:11 AM
Hello @LovejitSingh1313 , @Richard Burts is right the issue is that the backbone loopback on the ME3600 is defined as 10.100.100.19/24 instead of 10.100.100.19/32.
This creates isssues for sure.
Fix the configuration of ME3600 : loop0 and you should be able to make progress
Hope to help
Giuseppe

Hello @Giuseppe Larosa @Richard Burts @MHM Cisco World
I changed Subnet mask of loop0 and clear ip bgp * all on ME3600-LHIT but same issue, its not learning any routes.
Thanks
02-08-2021 11:46 PM
Hello @LovejitSingh1313 ,
on ME3600
post
show ip bgp vpnv4 all summary
you should see one line for 10.100.100.1 and one line for 10.100.100.2 with non zero prefixes.
if in the rightmost you have not a number but a word like Idle or active the MP BGP sessions did not come up.
in that case
verify also
show ip ospf neig
Hope to help
Giuseppe

Yes that right if he use different RD but he use same RD so all appear neighbor appear under one RD.
02-08-2021 06:12 AM - edited 02-08-2021 06:25 AM
take one by one OK
1-
MH3600 must redistribute connected "which is SVI"
BUT redistribute with auto-summary "default" make MH3600 redistribute only ClassFull
this is why 10.219.0.0 only appear because VLAN23 is same major subnet
and also static route use ClassFull so all represent with one subnet in show ip bgp all
10.219.0.0/16
solution:- no auto-summary under VRF address family
2-10.200.255.255 it easy advertise to all.
02-08-2021 07:14 AM
friend
for 10.219.0.0/16
since it is aggregate and aggregate change the origin and next-hop of original route.
I suspect with that so please do the following :-
1- show ip bgp 10.219.0.0
2- config bgp and use router-id using the loopback as router-id
3-clear ip bgp
4- show ip bgp all
5-show ip bgp 10.219.0.0
please do these steps
02-08-2021 01:57 PM
Hello @MHM Cisco World
Switch does not allow no auto-summary command in bgo vrf config, If you checked other two switches are without it as well so that should not be problem
Thanks

If not not under vrf then under bgp
