Hello
I'd like to configure multicast PIM sparse-dense mode on router A, B, C, which means there are some sparse mode groups and some dense mode groups, for sparse mode use PIMv2 BSR. Sparse-dense mode is enabled on all serial interfaces.
Router A's serial interface is configured as FR multipoint.
Q. FR multipoint interface does not support multicast or broadcast, how can i fix this problem?

Hello,
one way to solve this problem would be to configure subinterfaces on your hub router for the connections to both spokes. Is there a restriction in your setup where you can only use the physical interface on your hub router ?

GP

Hi
Thanks for answering, it is not allowed to use point to point subinterface.

Hi,
Some resource saying that we can use "ip pim mode nbma" and "ip pim sparse-dense " at same interface.
and some other saying that "ip pim mode nbma" works with only "ip pim sparse"...any idea about this?
