Multilinking

I have an Internet Router with 4 seriel Interface, each of them connected to an E1. The first 2 ports have been Multilinked and is working fine.

However when I tried to Multilink the other 2 lines as a second Multilink, I could not do it. The ISP says they gave the 3rd and 4th line on 2 different cards at their end. Is it necessary for the 2 ports to be multilinked to be on the same card or is it enough that they be in the same router.

Rajesh,

What is the router at your end and at the ISP's end. It is not rnough to have the 2 ports multilinked on the same router. There are some restrictions on the IOS, that your ports have to be on the same card.

Please see a link below for the same restrictions on MLPPP.
