Multiple Pt2pt t1s

I have two point to point t1s going to the same location.  I have static equal cost routes on these currently but was wondering if there would be a more efficient way of doing this to best utilize our links.

thanks,

The simplest and most efficient configuration for load sharing is what you have done - to have 2 equal cost static routes with each static route pointed to one of the point to point links.

But I wonder if that is what you are really asking about? Is there something about the load sharing that is not satisfying you? Is there something that you want to work differently? If you can explain what the fundamental question is, then perhaps we can find answers for that.

Thanks Rick, I guess I wanted confirmation that this is the best way to do this.  What I tested today was utilizing CEF and using per-packet instead of per-destination.

Thanks,

If you have a single source sending traffic (or a very small number of sources) or are sending to a single destination (or very small number of destinations) then per packet can be advantageous. In most circumstances the default of per destination balancing works fairly well. The major downside of per packet balancing is the liklihood of creating out of order packet delivery. In some applications out of order packets are not problematic, but in some applications out of order packets are a significant problem. So my preference is to use per destination balancing unless there is some real reason to want to use per packet balancing.
