Multiple Upstreams - Intelligent Congestion Monitoring?

We have multiple upstreams(Receiving partial BGP table on all), all connected via FE.

Occasionally one of the links will become saturated - Current solution is to manually adjust route maps to force certain clients out via one of the other upstreams.

I would much rather have this process automated on the Cisco (7206 VXR).

Is there any solution that would allow auto routing adjustments to be made by the router if:

- Pre-determined bandwidth threshold is exceeded

- Packet loss is deemed excessive (To next hop)

- Latency is deemed excessive (To next hop)

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

As far as I know, there is no technique available to automate the tasks.

We can solve this problem by doing this.

1. Analyze the traffic which is occasionally/frequently saturating the links.

2. Configure your route-maps to utilize 75% bandwidth of any link at peak util.

Thank you,

-Ashok.
