My C1111-8P router cant connect internet

Smile丶

Level 1

My C1111-8P has a Modem connected to Wan0 (g0/0/0) and a local PC connected to Lan1 (g0/1/1). I have other routers connected to this modem, and the network access is normal. I don't understand why my PC can't access the network, nor can I ping the external network at the CLI end of the router. The following is my configuration and web screenshot.

As we have progressed through this discussion I have been understanding that your router connection to the modem was working. So I am a bit surprised about questions now about the router connection to the modem. If it is working why are you suggesting PPPOE? If something about the modem is not working tell us what that is. If it is working why change it?

There are questions about NAT including whether interface G/0/0 specifies nat outside or nat inside, and whether you have removed the nat configuration using a route map. What is the current status of nat on your router?

The suggestion about changing nat after dialing the modem is interesting. Would you be doing nat on some interface other than the modem? If so then perhaps changes in nat are called for. But I have not seen anything in your config that suggests an alternate path to the Internet.

There may also be some questions about devices connected to the inside network. I suggest that we resolve questions about access to outside before we address questions about inside.

HTH

Rick

Hello  you say thar there is a modem connected to your router. That most likely means that you have to configure NAT on the modem for the 192.168.1.0/24 as well. What IP address is the WAN interface getting ?

I set DHCP to obtain the address. The IP address of the wan port(G0/0/0) on the router is 98.151.134.108/19
