When Layer 3 EVPN is configured in Cisco Nexus 3000 Series switches that are based on Broadcom ASIC and these switches are added in the topology with Layer 2 EVPN, the routing for this scenario is not supported. When you configure SVI and Layer 3 EVPN in Cisco Nexus 3000 Series switches based on Broadcom ASIC with Anycast Gateway and when you send the ARP requests from a Layer 2 EVPN device (for example, Cisco Nexus 3000 Series switches, based on a Broadcom ASIC), the Cisco Nexus 3000 Series switches can not be used as a gateway for the ARP requests received on the network ports.
means Broadcom based n3ks cannot be used as VTEPs with anycast gateways in any configuration? Or is there a configuration that bypasses this limitation?

Hi,
The critical information is at the end of the statement:
... the Cisco Nexus 3000 Series switches can not be used as a gateway for the ARP requests received on the network ports.
My understanding is that only in the situation when you mix Layer 2 VTEPs (any hardware) and Layer 3 VTEPs (Nexus 3000, w/ Broadcom ASICs), the ARP requests coming from L2 VTEPs, arriving on L3 VTEPs (N3K) on the network ports, is not supported.
Basically, you need to have Anycast Gateway configured on all VTEPs, or you leave your N3K as L2 VTEPs.
