there is problem in using SNMP with NAT ,
I found that the ALG can solve some problems about NAT (for example DNS-ALG) , but i can't find the same thing about SNMP.
does Cisco routers have a solution about that or not?

Hello,
IOS NAT does not support SNMP:
Q. Why doesn't Cisco IOS NAT support SNMP traffic?
A. The SNMP packet format depends on the particular MIB being used and is not self-describing. There is no single format for SNMP requests and responses that can be processed in a general fashion.

Any one has more detail explanation to this. We need to manage a few servers from HPOV and NAT is needed. What exact is the problem and what are the workaround?
