Need BGP protocol for study

Dear all,

I want to improve my technical skills in BGP protocol, searched serveral times for BGP doucments but couldn't get the docuement however I had gone through cisco docuements ( officials websites ) but there is I get confused while studying BGP protocol  since I'm new for this protocol.

Please guide me where to start to learn it, if is there is any book or pdf please refer to me so that I can strong my technical skills, I want to know where can I get sequence wise chapter from basic to advanced.

It may be old but it is really valuable. It should provide simple scenarios where it shows the effects of changing the value of a single BGP attribute like Local Preference and so on.

2 good books are 2nd edition Routing TCP/IP, Volume II  By Jeff Doyle, Cisco Press and Internet Routing Architectures, by Bassam Halabi , 2nd second edition, CiscoPress 2000.

Note 2nd edition of book is a bt better; BGP chapters are improved !

You can say always buy /read 2nd second editions
