Need suggestion for IOS of Cisco 3845

Hi,

I have one Cisco 3845 Router. It has c3845-spservicesk9-mz.123-14.T4.bin IOS. I need to upgarde it with c3845-spservicesk9-mz.124-22.T5.bin because the old has been deffered on Cisco site.

I am facing one problem related to bandwidth shaping. In old IOS i am unable to configure 155 Mbps for Cisco router with 12.3 IOS. please check below

Can any one check that 12.4 IOS can support upto 155 Mbps. or suggest any other IOS.

i have checked this as latest release hopefully it will work for you.

I just want one more information from you is c3845-spservicesk9-mz.124-22.T5.bin IOS support bandwidth shaping upto 155 Mbps or I will have to directly go for c3845-spservicesk9-mz.151-4.M3.bin Suggested by you.

Hello Sunil,

I checked the 15.1(4)M and 15.2(2)T images but the shaping rate is the same for all of them:

R1(config-pmap-c)#shape average ?

<1000-154400000> Target Bit Rate (bits/sec). (postfix k, m, g optional;

decimal point allowed)

If you consider an upgrade, you should take into account that the 12.4(22)T (and the whole 12.4T train) is end of life.

Hello Sunil,

Unfortunately, these are the latest IOS versions so even after upgrading (be that 12.4T or 15.1), the limitation would be the same.
