Netflow Byte counter using 32 bit counters?

Hello,

I am using Netflow V9 export to track bandwidth utilization, and noticed that we were missing about 20Mb of traffic on both our collectors. There were several FTP transfers running, downloading over 140GB of data over an 8 hour period. During this time, both collectors failed to display the actual utilization, but instead only showed about 1.2Mb/s, when it was actually running over 20Mb/s. I confirmed the actual usage by monitoring the 30 second interface stats on our router.

I found this reference, which seems to confirm that V9 netflow uses , by default, 32 bit Byte counters:

There seems to be an implication that 64 bit BYTE counters can be set. I am still researching; however I wanted to see if anybody has any experience setting this up, or has run into this issue with Netflow.

If I understand the question, the command collect counter bytes long may be what you are looking for:
