All,
Could anyone with experience in configuring Netflow on a 7600 Sup720 3BXL carying multi-gigabit volumes of traffic provide me with an exact MSFC and PFC flow timer configuration that provide smoothe graphs?
After extensive timer tweaking I am still seeing gigabit/s spikes in traffic at 5gigabit/s volume, which at 5mins graphing interval is way too much to be accurate.
Cisco must have guidelines for "optimal" MSFC and PFC timer configurations at these traffic rates considering IMIX traffic????
I do not use sampling, and the Cache size has been set to max for my Supervisor version.
Thanks!

Basically the netflow does not have performance issue on the router and bandwidth. The flow entries are created by PFC at HW level and the CPU consumption is very limited. There are some aging timer to play with but need to be well tuned if not using the default. Following links may help you

Reinier, Cisco doesn't have any explicit guidance for tweaking these timers because there's simply no one-size-fits-all solution; everyone's traffic is different.
You're the best to judge what's right for your own network since you know your own traffic better than anyone else!
