new 4500-x stops switching

Hello, I have a new 4500-x running  IOS-XE  version  03.03.00.XO RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

ROM: 15.1(1r)SG2.

it has a dual supervisor and it is configured as a simple switch (all ports on the same VLAN) and if I connect two pc on any port and I start pinging them it will work for nearly 20 min and then ping stops and I have to power down/up the 4500 to have ping running. The ping between the two PCs will resume and work again for 20 min and then stops. The two pc are on the same line card.

The configuration is very basic at the moment, I'm just testing the switching capability.

Any idea of what could be wrong?

thanks in advance

Giovanni

Try a newer IOS version.

PS:  You might as well upgrade the bootstrap as well.

The XE version has been pretty problematic. As Leo suggested, you should upgrade the ROMMON and the XE code. I have had very good luck with 3.4.4
