Guys,
Im debating buying a 5548UP for a home lab setup - i want to connect it to my ASA5515x but that only supports 1Gb copper ethernet. Does the 5548UP support 1Gb copper SFP's or just 10Gb? Ive checked the spec sheets but its just not clear to me.
thankyou!

Hello,
for the 5548UP to support 1 Gig connections, you need to get the Ethernet expansion module and use the GLC-T SFP.

is it this ? Cisco N55-M16P
You actually need this to run 1Gb SFP+ ?

Yes, that is the expansion module you would need. That said, why don't you get the 5548P model, which has 32 1/10-Gbps fixed SFP+ Ethernet ports ?
