Hello,
loss of connectivity appears during 2 minutes when layer 3 module N55-M160L3-V2 is detaching from 5596.
Reasons seems that vlan interface are still up, and hsrp also, and chassis take 2 minutes to detect the failure.
Tracking should not help for HSRP as vlan interfaces are still up.
Poweroff module doesn't work in CLI for N55-NM, 5596 is in n5000-uk9.5.1.3.N1.1a
Does anyone have an idea ?
Thanks,

I finally get a reply from CISCO, the module is not hot swappable in the current release (may 2012).
So I confirmed also that for the moment there is no command to shutdown the layer module.
The only way is to shutdown the router and detach the module after.

Here is the bug which specifies that the L3 module is not hot swappable and to correct the documentation error you may have seen.
