Nexus 7K Vpc Keepalive over FEX

Hi

We have 2 x Nexus 7ks each with a dual SUP2 supervisors. Currently the supervisors are directly connected to each other without any L2 device in between.

I have a planned software upgrade and i am expecting a reboot of the device and failover of the sups. But during the sup switchover the peer link will be lost.

So as a precaution, and this will be temporary for now, can i configure a peer keepalive over the fex ports?

Can i configure an additional keepalive to the one i already have?

Answer:- What r u going to achieve with this? When the primary switch goes down/reboot irespective of your peer-alive the other switch take over the active role untill the primary switch has come back online. 

Keepalive is just to avoid the dual-active scenario.
