Hey all,
A little doubt about default routes on OSPF ABR.
On a single topology, R1 redistribute a default route and have all its interface on area 0.
R2 and R3 area ABR and have one interface on area 0 and other interface on area 30.
R4 are totally inside on area 30.
With every links working fine, all router have the default route.
If the conection between R1 x R3 comes down, Can R3 learn the default route from R4?

Hi @aavelar
The redistribution of static routes is included in the updates of the routing protocols, so if the R1-R2-R4-R3 link is still active, OSPF updates will continue to reach R3, with the redistributed static routes.

Thanks for information.
I have a situation where a ABR does not receive a default route (route generated on area 0) when it's only conection occurs over another area.
I will collect the actual OSPF status with two links ok (both areas).

Yes, and vice versa. if R1 x R2 comes down.
