What is the difference between OSPF1583compatibility and 1587compatibility ?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

--> RFC 1583 means that IOS maintains a single best route to an autonomous system (AS) boundary router in the OSPF routing table, rather than multiple intra-AS paths, if they are available.

--> RFC 1587 (which has actually bee obsoleted by RFC 3101) specifies the selection criteria for a new AS external path when compared to the ones present in the table (see link below)
