OSPF session between same device with different VRF

Dear all,

As for attached image, I have to force traffic to a shaper node that working like bridge.

I have also to put in place an OSPF session to redistribute routes from RTR-01 to RTR-03.

From your point of view, is it a good idea ?

Or is possibile put in plase another solution?

Note that, isn't possibile connect the shaper device on RTR-01 o 03.

Thank you!

Hi there,

To topology fits your requirement well. The only item to be aware of is for the shaper to trust the QoS markings received from both the R2 VRFs. The OSPF control packets will be sent with a CS6 marking and should be given priority as they pass through the shaper.

If they are not and start to be dropped due to congestion your will experience OSPF instability.

cheers,

Seb.

Thanks Seb,

OSPF it's ok with shaper.
I create my topology on LAB, the first problem, is that obviously Cisco use same MAC address on different Vlan.
I have to change MAC address on one vlan manually.
After that, I can ping each other but seems that they are unusable for next hop for routes.
If I change vlan with physical interfacee there are no issue.
Very strange behavior...
Someone know the difference and how it influence topology ?

Thanks,
Marcello
