ouput queue drops on E1 link

Hi,

have a serial int with output queue drops increasing slowly, however the tx, rx loads appear low, its not a busy link. any idea what could be causing this?

Hello,

rx and tx load are averaged over at least 30 seconds (default: 5 minutes!). So short term overload situations will not be visible. Assume a server with 256kB window size connected with GE. It could overload the link for a few seconds leading to a few dropped packets. rx or tx load would not increase substantially.
