pa-a3-e3 vs pa-e3 module

I have a PA-A3-E3 module in a 7200 router connecting to an ISP. The ISP uses a serial E3 configuration. Is there any way to configure the PA-A3-E3 module to connect to the ISP, or is it necessary to have PA-E3 module. I'm fairly certain that this is the only way, but I'm looking for confirmation one way or the other.

You'll need a PA-E3 module. The PA-A3-E3 is as you know an Enhanced ATM module and can't directly talk with a PA-E3 (or similar).

Thanks for this - I was fairly certain this was the case, but it just means that I have the pain of swapping it out now!
