I have two routers configure both interface with mtu 1900, but when i ping from one side to another with mtu higher than 1510 i get higher loss packets, any idea How i can fix?
What kind of media connects the routers? What kind of interfaces are the routers using? Is there any device connected between the routers or are they back to back connections?
If between the routers is ISP then I wonder if ISP is dropping packets with large MTU. Even with L2TP if your router sends a packet with size greater than 1510 it seems the ISP would see the larger frame and might reject it.
