Hi All
These 3 ping drops after every 2 to 3 mins on cisco asa from all VPN client software. Same issue from my Laptop and all users so i won't expect it as internet speed issue. What could be the root cause of this issue.
Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 9.1(6)
Device Manager Version 7.8(1)150

Hello,
I think the VPN client is really old and was discontinued almost 10 years ago. Have you tried the latest version of AnyConnect (4.8) ?

Hi,
Open the VPN statistics window and see if those 3 lost packets are actually being sent over the tunnel. Leave a debug crypto isakmp peer and crypto ipsec peer enabled on the ASA, to get some possible log messages when those packets are magically gone.

Hi,
Running a debug for a specific peer, as i stated, will not have any impact on the ASA. As for where to find the "statistics" data in VPN Client GUI, it's been like 8 years since i've last seen the face of legacy VPN client. Look in the VPN GUI tabs, after successful connection. If you keep having these type of issues, you would rather run L2TP over IPsec, with the built-in Windows client.

Cristian Matei.
