hello
I have configured a policy of 2Mb both outbound and inbound on my ethernet interafece. And I was trying to ping the point to point with a packet size of 1024. Which gives me around 5-6 drops out of 1000 packets. But I dont have any drops when I am pinging without policy. Can any one please explain this to me. Does this issue have anything to do with the Bc and Be value
Below is the policy configuration
Policy Map 2048
Class any
police cir 2048000 bc 64000 be 64000
conform-action transmit
exceed-action drop
Thanks
Rishad

Hi,
are the drops regular in time or just random? Is there any other traffic in the point to point at the time of the tests?
Regards,
Julio

The drops are are regular . And there is already a traffic of 500 Kbps. But the drops reduces when I am increasing the bc value in the policy.
