hello,

I am having 2501 series router but when i am going to on it i got error mesg. like:

System Bootstrap, Version 4.14(6)[fc3], SOFTWARE

2500 processor with 8192 Kbytes of main memory

Abort at 0x103AA6A (PC)

Abort at 0x10005BC (PC)

Abort at 0x10005BE (PC)

Abort at 0x10005BC (PC)

Abort at 0x10005C0 (PC)

Abort at 0x10005BC (PC)

Abort at 0x10005C0 (PC)

Abort at 0x10005BC (PC)

please help me to solve issue

Hi.

plz chk ur config Reg valu ???

and rest it on 0x2102.

reboot ur router and press Ctr+ break key where u enter in rommod and where

confreg 0x2102

and

reset

hopefullyy it will work

hello,

sounds like DRAM problem. to confirm remove the DRAM an reboot.

on a 2501 I think it is more likely to be flash than DRAM. But reseating both the flash and the DRAM would be good things to do in troubleshooting this problem.

I have experienced problems similar to this which were resolved by reseating flash and DRAM.

It has been a long time since I did this on a 2501. My memory is that you open up the case and find the flash and DRAM chips on the main board. Remove the chips and reseat the chips. close the case up and power up (and hope for a successful boot).

If your dram ius faulty you can find some on ebay at very good price.
