I have Cisco 3845 with two Gigabit interfaces configured as port-channel with subinterface and with QoS.

However shape does not work, any ideas why?

ip address 10.10.10.3 255.255.255.0

service-policy output P1.1400

policy-map P1.1400

class ALL

shape average 1024000

service-policy COLO

#show policy-map interface p1.1400

Port-channel1.1400

Service-policy output: P1.1400

Class-map: ALL (match-any)

8019839 packets, 9515886521 bytes

5 minute offered rate 1875000 bps, drop rate 0 bps

Match: access-group 103

8019839 packets, 9515886521 bytes

5 minute rate 1875000 bps

Queueing

queue limit 64 packets

(queue depth/total drops/no-buffer drops) 0/0/0

(pkts output/bytes output) 0/0

Hi,

I did some search internally on cisco database from which I understood that the 3800's didn't support QOS portchannels(atleast not in any of the 12.4T and Mainline releases)

Support for QOS on portchannels was available only with ASRs,GSRs and the 6k switches. My guess is things haven't changed much with the 15 releases.

My suggestion would be to check with TAC if this feature is supported at all.

Thanks.

Hope this helps.
