Hello,

Is it possible to configure the RV220W to forward ports without connecting to the SSL VPN?

If so, how?

Thanks,

Dave

Wrong forum, try small business routers.

Hi David,

Thank you for posting. Go to Firewall-> Access Control-> Custom Services. Create a new service for the port that you want to forward. Then go to IPv4 Firewall Rules-> Add.

From Zone: Untrusted (WAN)

To Zone: Trusted (LAN)

Service: (Select from the dropdown. If you created a service it will be at the bottom)

Action: Always Allow

Source Hosts: Any

Send to Local Server (DNAT IP): 192.168.1.200 (Use LAN IP of the device to forward to)

Remember to Save Settings when you are done.

Hello Guys,

The admin page to my newly purchased RV220W has always encountered with a certificate error. Anyway I could still login ignoring this issue. However after configuring port forwarding as i did for my WRVS4400N, it didn't work at all. What could be wrong ? I done my port forwarding step similar to mpyhala highlighted.

Hello M S Low,

Thank you for posting. What firmware is on the RV220W?

Hi mpyhala,

The firmware version now is 1.0.2.4

Hello,

Did you create the rule under IPv4 Firewall Rules or Port Forwarding? There is a known issue and Port Forwarding does not work correctly. You can do the same thing under Firewall Rules and you will have success.

Hi,

i created the rules under the Firewall - Port Forwarding, not IPv4 Firewall Rules. But i still could not get them to work.

btw, under 1.0.2.4 firmware, port forwarding can only be found under Firewall, not under Networking, LAN (Local Network), IPv4 LAN (Local Network).

Hi,

Delete any rules you created under Port Forwarding and recreate them in IPv4 Firewall Rules. This should resolve the issue. Hopefully "Port Forwarding" will be fixed in the next firmware.

Maybe it's just me...but you'd think this type of router wouldn't have port forwarding issues! After upgrading to the latest firmware (1.0.2.4), I wondered why I couldn't get my port forwarding to work. Something so trivial shouldn't even be an issue with this router. Just my opinion. Thanks for the work around till the next firware release.
