Port Forwarding to DVR

I inherited a cllient with an ECOR DVR8D and need some help.

They want to be able to view the camera remotely.

The DVR's static address is XXX.YYY.ZZZ.200

The public static address is aaa.bbb.ccc.124

We have a Linksys/Cisco E2000 router

I forwarded port 2468 both TCP/UDP to XXX.YYY.ZZZ.200 and enabled

Saved and Rebooted

I can see the DVR locally with XXX.YYY.ZZZ.200

If I am outside the network I try to open aaa.bbb.ccc.124:2468  IE8 cannot find th epage.

I also used canyouseeme.org and it show the port is closed.

I also tried other ports with no joy to be found.

I hope someone here can help me

I am not very familiar with the E2000, but in general you will need to create a rule for the firewall to permit the traffic on the port in addition to forwarding the port in NAT.

Stateful firewalls do not permit connections from the outside unless explicitly permitted. This is independent of any NAT function the device may be performing.
