QOS

Hello,

I have a FR connection between CE and PE router , and configured with CBWFQ , and we configured 3 classes D1, D2 , D3.

and each class reserve a percentage from the BW

D1 60%

D2 30%

D3 10%

the question is if the CIR is 256k I need to know if the 60% and 30% and 10% is from the 256k or from 75% of the 256k

ann if I configured the command

maximum bandwidth reserved 100% on the serial interface , what is the situation

Thanks

Hi,

If you apply the service-policy within a map-class that is subsequently applied to the DLCI, the max-reserved-bandwidth is 100% by default.

If you then use the 'bandwidth percent' command to assign the above bandwidths, the percentage will be applied to the configured or default MinCIR for that PVC. Therefore, it is in your interest to set CIR=MinCIR for this purpose.

Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.
