Hi ,
I have a Cisco C819H-K9 in which I am trying to disable mop service using the command "no mop enabled" but it looks like the mop is not getting recognized.
Is the mop not recognized in this router or its already disabled by default. Kindly advise.
Below is the output that i am getting when i try to disable it.
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
ABC(config)#int GigabitEthernet0
ABC(config-if)#no mop enab
ABC(config-if)#no mop enabled
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
ABC(config-if)#^Z
ABC#

Hi,
MOP is a DECNET related layer 2 protocol from a few years back.
Looking at the 819H guide doc:-
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/access/800/819/software/configuration/Guide/819_SCG.pdf
I do not see any reference to DECNET or MOP.
The router seems to be geared at modern IP protocols.
If the interface will not allow you to switch off MOP, I think you can safely assume that is not running this legacy protocol.
Hope this helps
Regards
Alex

I am trying to disable mop on cisco ISR 4431 router interfaces running version 16.9.4 but the command is not recognized.
Hope this feature is not supported by latest routers / SW versions .
ISR4431(config)#int GigabitEthernet0/0/0
ISR4431(config-if)#no mop ?
% Unrecognized command
ISR4431(config-if)#no mop enabled
