Hi Guys, we have a Catalyst 4003 switch which is a few years old and it's currently running some version of CatOS on it.
I have a few questions about this particular switch. I'm going to be playing dumb and asking some probably easy questions, but I'd like other's professional answer to them.
1. Can I move the 4003 over to IOS?
2. Does the Cat 4003 support layer 3 routing?
3. We have a 10mb(about to be uped to 100mb) ethernet connection coming from our provider. Currently it's on a 2651 which I'm looking at removing. Is it a wise idea to use the 4003 as our border router? If not, what other product should we look at using for this? Or should I just keep the 2651 and up the memory and IOS version?
4. Does the Cat 4003 support traffic shaping on a per port basis?
