Re:Internet connectivity issue due to routing loop

Hi,

I have Internet browsing issue from their LAN on site D router what I have diagnose from my end issue is routing loop. Steps that I have taken.

1.I can ping from My PC to WAN Interface of site D and can take remote login into it’s WAN interface.

2 .I can trace route form site D to 8.8.8.8 DNS  and I can ping to internal DNS server as well  external server.

But when I try to ping LAN interface of site D it gives “TTL Expired in Transit” and the same response I got from other sites which are connected to site C (like we have site D connected to it).

By this message it means that there is some kind of loop in the network so please guide me how to resolve this issue and for your information we have static routes currently working in our network.

Thanks

Hi

If there is loop you should see it in output of traceroute LAN IP [site D].

Can you post this output?

Yes Transit Failed because of loops or incorrect routes.

Traceroute and check on which hop its is causing .
