I am very unexperienced with Cisco equipment, so bear with me here.
I'm starting with a CCNA course and have a tiny lab set up with only a Cisco 871w. due to my utter lack of experience, i deleted the contents of the flash storage and no longer have a bootable IOS image. I don't have a spare one I can use xmodem to transfer over, so is there any way to recover an IOS image after the flash has been deleted?

if you have an image of the router backup (or you can download from Cisco CCO login) - if you do not have an image, google should help you..(shhhhhhhhhhh cisco hearing).
below guide to upload the image using Xmodem/ TFTP or whichever way suitable.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to track down an image for my particular router. I might have just bricked it in my carelessness.
EDIT: I cannot use TFTP as I do not have an ISP connection in my bedroom.

Other means of source you need to get the image to fix this issue. TFTP can be local or you can do Xmodem as mentioned in the document.
