Redundant power

Dear sir,

I need to connect the redundant power cable in Cisco 3845, I have a confusion with it, can i ON the both power after connecting

these power cable?

Yes you can turn ON both of the power supplies after you have connected them to appropriate power sources.

The intent of dual power supplies in the router is that in normal operation they both contribute power to the operation of the router and that if either of the active power supplies fails (or its power source fails) that the remaining power supply can carry the entire load.

Yes you can on both the power supply and with devices having redudant power supply and connected with approriate power sources in redudnant fashion  like one with PS1 and another cable with PS2 it will give full redundancy for device in terms of power supply.
